Obituary of Emelda Pauline Koubek

Emelda, late of Regina, passed away peacefully at the Pasqua Hospital on September 12, 2013 at the age of 101 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Laura (Paradis) Paquin; husband Joseph John Koubek; granddaughter Ann Marie Novak (Hornung); seven brothers and three sisters. Emelda is survived and will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Mary (Dave) Hornung and Juliette (Larry) Grainger; sister Sr. Theresa Paquin; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters as well as many nieces and nephews. Born July 23, 1912 near Lebret, Emelda was the eldest of 12 siblings. She worked in many different areas of the Regina Grey Nuns Hospital, and later the Pasqua Hospital. Emelda’s main focus was her family and their activities, she also enjoyed entertaining and had a great sense of humour. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Special thanks to Dr. J.S.
