Obituary of Allan Morcom
Allan passed away peacefully in the DVA ward of the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre on Friday, September 13, 2013. Predeceased by his wife Solveig (nee Hanson); his parents William and Mary; granddaughter Denise; son-in-law Don; siblings Mark, Roy, Walter, Eileen and Dorothy. Allan is survived by his children Lloyd (Vivian), Arlene (Dennis) Doehl, Shirley Holman and Fern (Larry) Reich; grandchildren Sherry, Jeffrey, Ryan, Colleen, Greg, Darla, Tanya, Colin and Jarrett; 15 great grandchildren; his special friend Cecile Hall, siblings Jessie, Ellen and Alice; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Allan is a WWII veteran and a POW. After the war he returned to Saskatchewan and farmed in the Gibbs area for a number of years. He then moved to Regina and worked in construction for several years prior to his retirement. Thank you to the staff of Wascana 3-5 for their compassionate care. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Marieton Cemetery. Flowers most gratefully declined.
