Obituary of Beatrice Thorpe

Amy passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2013. She was born November 13, 1923 to Charles and Ruby at Lavington, West Sussex, England. Amy was predeceased by her husband Patrick and her son-in-law Russel Wright; she is survived by her children, Kathleen and Ron (Darlene); six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, as well as other relatives and friends. Beatrice was enlisted in June 1942 in the ATS English army until July 1945. She met and married Patrick Thorpe in Alton, England June 9, 1945. Beatrice came to Canada as a war bride July 26, 1946 and settled in the West Bend area. Public Visitation will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Graveside Service will held at Lumsden Cemetery on Friday, September 20 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memoriam, may be made to Ronald McDonald House, 1011 University Drive, Saskatoon, SK, S7N 0K4.
