Sharon, Shaun and family ...
It is with great sadness that I send my deepest condolences. So many memories of my early years come back to me when I think of Peter, The Music Box, and the Academy. I'm guessing, but probably as early as 1969 or 1970. I remember walking up the stairs above the store to accordion lessons - and hanging out in the store after lessons, with always a smile and joke from Peter. Years of recitals, music fesitivals, practicing, and eventually teaching those new young faces coming to the school. Sharon, you and Peter encouraged me on the journey, helped shape me into the person I am today. I have finally got back to my love of teaching and I travel North America and the world helping people become better Leaders - at work and at home.
God Bless you and Peter ...so many young people in Regina were touched by your love of music and it had such a positive impact on our lives. I'm just grateful I was one of them.
With love...

Dear Sharon
These must be days of great sorrow for you. May you feel the inexplicable comfort that comes from knowing you will see Peter again. May you be encouraged by knowing that his suffering is done; he is resting in the arms of his dear Savior. We truly do not mourn as those who have no hope! Peter was a wonderful man and we were truly blessed to have known him.

Dear Sharon,
I just learned that Peter has been promoted to freedom from sickness and into eternal health and worship of his heavenly Father. Darlene and I have fond memories of both of you from our days in Regina. I remember when Peter dedicated his life to Christ. It was always such a blessing to hear him play at church. But I particularly appreciate the strong testimony he had as Christian businessman in Regina. I pray that God will comfort you as you mourn this loss in your life.
God Bless You

Sharon and family,
With deep sadness we learned of the passing of our friend, Peter. In such trying moments, we need all our spiritual courage to bear up the loss we have sustained. The knowledge that we share it, may lessen your grief. In such sorrowful circumstances, consolations are superfluous, as only time can alleviate our sorrow. With love, Paula

Dear Sharon and family,
Please accept my condolences and warmest regards.
It was a pleasure knowing and making music with Peter in our youth in Regina - usually at the McPhaden house, with Gary's long-suffering dad quietly reading in an adjacent room, while the city's young jammers developed improvising skills. I'm trying to scan a couple of B&W photos to attach later, from those days..
I briefly teamed up with Peter in Vancouver in the early 60's - he soon left for Toronto, leaving "Bird" - his small dog named for jazz great Charlie Parker - in my care.
Peter's contributions to music in Regina will certainly live on as his legacy.
I hope the sharp pain of his loss will ease for you in time, in a rich store of memories.

My involvement with Peter initially came through his ready willingness to provide the music at Promise Keepers men's ministry events in Regina. There he provided an example of a man dedicated to serving the Lord and committed to bringing men into His service. Peter always had a ready smile and warm hand shake that will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Dear Sharon and family and Shaun and family.
We were very saddened when told by friends in Regina of Peter's passing. We had the utmost respect for Peter in that he rose to the challenges of life. He became one of Canada's premier bass players and he took up the challenge of establishing and ultimately owning a music store in a competitive environment. We were always impressed with his positive attitude in music and in business and his religious commitments. He has left a legacy in Canada. We are proud to say he was a friend and we very much regret that loss. Please accept our sincerest sympathy.
Sincerely, Anne and Fred Ballantyne
