Obituary of Anton J Ziegler

Tony passed away peacefully with family at his side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. His passing reunites Tony with his dear wife Anne (2005) and daughter Karen (1964). Tony will be forever loved and missed by his daughters, Arleen (Paul) Cocks of Saskatoon and Sandy (Mel) Keating of Prince Albert; his treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Tammy (Craig) Cole, Connor Warden, Toby Cocks, Shawn (Elysia) Keating, Stacey, Kira and Jade Keating; as well as brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends. Tony was born into a family of twelve in Dilke, SK. He had a lengthy career, starting out as a welder at Northwest Iron Works and moving up to construction supervisor at Saskatchewan Steel Fabricators Ltd. He retired as superintendent of construction from Stelco Fabricators Ltd. Anne was the love of his life and they were able to celebrate 57 years of marriage. The family would like to thank the palliative home care nurses. Donations in memory of Tony may be made to a charity of choice. In keeping with Dad’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral. A simple private interment for family will be held. To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.speersfuneralchapel.comZiegler
