I was shocked to hear that Larry passed away. I knew Larry when I worked at NITHA in Prince Albert. At the time we worked on First Nations health initiatives related to his role at FNIH and then as his role with the U of R. I am sure everyone who knew Larry recognized his strong communication skills and appreciated his humanistic approaches in his work and in his friendships. I am sorry that I was not able to attend his celebration of life ceremony today. We no longer live in Prince Albert or Saskatchewan could not make the trip. He will be missed by many!

I have met and worked with Larry through the FSNA Regina & Area Branch where we both sat on the Management Committee. I truly appreciated his thoughtful insights, his willingness to contribute positive ideas and suggestions, to lend a helping hand at all times. We'll miss your Larry.

Angie and family,
I knew Larry as a work colleague in the Public Service and as a fellow member of the Regina FSNA Management Team. I will remember him for his many qualities but most of all for his humanity. He was a great guy and I miss him.

All of Larry's friends at Poverty Free Saskatchewan extend our condolences to you. We were shocked and saddened to hear that our dear friend and activist had passed away. Larry had been very involved in the Research Group of Poverty Free Saskatchewan. He helped to research, edit and publish "Let's do something about poverty". In our work together, he always pushed us to dig deeper into the issues, but he did so with gentleness and a wonderful sense of humour. It was an honour to have volunteered with him - we are better people for having known him.
Sincerely,
Gloria DeSantis
and Larry's Poverty Free Saskatchewan friends

My heartfelt condolences to all of you,
Larry was truly a gifted individual who's contribution to the holistic approach of well being will forever remembered and honoured through his life's work particularly to the First Nation and Metis people of Saskatchewan and Canada.
He was an advocate for positive change and a generous person with his time, immense knowledge and truly engaged all in creating a culturally competent environment.
Thank you to his family for sharing Larry with all of us. My thoughts and prayers will be with all those who grieve the loss of a truly wonderful person and a mentor to so many of us that he kindly influenced.
Sincerely,
Susan Stromich
