Obituary of Theodore Stadnick

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Ted Stadnick on Tuesday, October 1, 2013. He was born at Beaubier, SK, the third youngest of fourteen children, to Mary and Jack Stadnick. He was predeceased by his parents, siblings Ann, Rosie, John, Mike, Pete, Helen, Willy, Ella, Caroline, Josie and Stan, in-laws Margaret and David Toppings; daughter-in-law Lorinda and baby Michael Stadnick. Ted leaves to mourn, his loving wife of 63 years, Joyce; sons Blair and granddaughter Kayla, Brian (Nalini) and granddaughters Tiffany and Nicole Stadnick; as well as his brother Don (Marie). Ted grew up in the “Dirty 30’s” and that fashioned his life to live honestly, work hard and help people. After Ted returned from naval service, he became a finishing carpenter, joining Hilsden & Co. He carved a busy and rewarding career, building hospitals, banks, credit unions and homes. Eventually Mel Douglas joined Ted, forming Telmed Construction Co. and continued building in Regina and around the province. He met Joyce while building the hospital in Kipling, and it was a loving union for 63 years. Ted was Past Master of Sherwood Masonic Lodge, and Past Grand Patron Order of Eastern Star, Captain of the WaWa Shrine Drill Corp, long-time member of Lakeview United Church, Cubs and Scouts and many other volunteer organizations. Ted was a devoted husband and father to his family. He had many friends, often lending a helping hand whenever it was needed. Ted and Joyce were fortunate to travel all over the world, especially enjoying Mesa, Arizona where they made many friends and had good times! Funeral Service will be held at Lakeview United Church, 3200 McCallum Avenue, Regina on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jo Mader officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Friends so wishing to make donations in memory of Ted, may do so to the WaWa Shrine Patient Transportation Fund, 2065 Hamilton Street, Regina, S4P 2E1 or to a charity of their choice.
