Obituary of Karen Marie Tufford

KAREN MARIE TUFFORD April 15, 1957 - October 03, 2013 It is with heavy hearts that Karen’s family would like to announce her passing on October 3, 2013 at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre after a life long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Karen has lived in the Wascana Rehab for the last 12 years. Karen was predeceased by her parents Ted (2004) and Dot (2012), as well as both her paternal grandparents Ed and Edna Tufford, and her maternal grandparents Dorothy and Alex Pageot. She is survived by her brother Stephen, sister Susan and her husband Doug Bray and their children, Michael, Meghan, Christopher and Donovan. Karen is also survived by her many aunts and uncles, Al (Mae) of London ON, Marge (Lawrence) of Montreal, Terry, Dennis (Jeanette), Jim (Deana), and special aunts Lil, and Joan (Charlie) all of Regina; many cousins, as well as many friends, extended family and special care givers, Debbie, Heather, and Myrna at Wascana Rehab. A very special thank-you to the staff on Unit 3-3 at Wascana. Karen has been an employee at SaskTel for more than 35 years and before that was a nursing student at the former Wascana Institute. Karen will be greatly missed by all for her warm and always present smile to anyone. Please join us in a Funeral Mass and Celebration of Karen's Life on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, 2nd Floor, 2180 – 23rd Ave Regina with Rev. Norman Marcotte presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers gratefully declined.
