Obituary of Eva Sereda

EVA SEREDA (nee ELASH) February 28, 1922 - October 12, 2013 Eva passed away peacefully at Regina Wascana Grace Hospice on Saturday, October 12, 2013 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Nicholas; parents, Theodore and Catherine; eight brothers and two sisters; as well as son-in-law Richard Curran. Eva is lovingly remembered by her daughter Marjorie (Ben Lapchuk) of Manitoba, grandson Charles (Meghan) of Manitoba and grandson David (Adrienne) of Ontario; and daughter Cecile Curran of Regina, granddaughter Arlene (Ed) Williamson of Alberta, grandson James (Donna) Curran, great-granddaughters Nikita, Alexandria and great-grandson Mathew of Regina and granddaughter Brenna Curran of Regina; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation and Prayers will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Divine Liturgy will take place at St. Athanasius Byzantine Ukrainian Catholic Church, 55 McMurchy Avenue, Regina on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Basil Malowany officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Special thank you to the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital, as well as to all the staff at Regina Wascana Grace Hospice - the physicians, nurses, volunteers and other staff members who made the last weeks of our mother’s life on earth so comfortable.
