Obituary of Edna Elsie Leischner

EDNA ELSIE LEISCHNER (nee Brust) October 29, 1929 – October 13, 2013 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Edna Leischner. She was surrounded by her family as she peacefully entered into the presence of Jesus. Edna is survived by her loving husband Henry; her daughter Ruth (Wilf) Neilson; her sons, Rick and Gerhart (Donna); six grandchildren, Theron, Regis and Brock Neilson, and Katelyn, Matthew and Carson Leischner; her sisters, Annie Fechner and Rita (Harry) Schmidt; brothers, Harold (Margaret) and Walter (Lori) Brust. Edna was a loving companion for 58 years of marriage, supporting Henry in Christian ministry in eleven communities in the four western provinces. She was a caring mother and adored her grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. The Celebration of Edna’s Life will be held at Heritage Alliance Church, 3575 Hillsdale Street, Regina, SK on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Cory Steinson officiating.
