Obituary of Constantina Hasapes

Dina passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her husband James; her parents, Yiorgos and Sofia Kavasalis; sisters, Maria (Thrasivoulos) Magouliotis, Trisevgeni (Yiorgos) Balahamis, Eleni (Potis) Georgoulis, Vasiliki (Alekos) and Aggeliki Kavasali; nephews, Dimitrios Magouliotis and Yiorgios Magouliotis; and brother-in-law Lambros Hasapes. Dina is survived by special niece Kaliopi (Yianni) Gikas of Greece; special niece Roula Magouliotis of Regina; sister-in-law Dina Hasapes of Calgary; and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and Greece. She was born in Kastri, Kynourias, Greece and immigrated to Canada in May, 1957. Dina married James in 1961 and they lived happily together until James passed away in 2010. They were both very involved in their church and Regina’s Greek community. Prayers will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church, 3000 Argyle Road, Regina, SK on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Spyridon Vandoros officiating.
