Obituary of Gerald Rodney Bellegarde

GERALD “JERRY or JR” RODNEY BELLEGARDE May 16, 1953 – October 25, 2013 Jerry passed away peacefully at his home on LBB. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Violette Bellegarde; sisters, Cheryl “CJ”, Leah, Debra “Bubs” and Pat; brothers, Brad and Andrew; and adopted son Waylon Nanaquawetung. Jerry is survived by his brother Louis “Huggy” Bellegarde; sons, Campbell (Crystal), Andrew, Byron and Jason (Cody); grandchildren, Leah, Lyndon, Terrance, Sarah, Wilson, Jessica, Jemaul, Kashious, Nolan, and Neveah; great-grandchildren, Kiley and Zayden; godchildren, Sheila Swanson, Louis “Big Lou” Bellegarde, Tristan and Trevor Walker. Jerry “JR” also leaves many dear cousins, nephews, nieces, friends and relatives as well as his very special “OPT poker family”. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to two very special nurses who went above and beyond in their care for JR over the past few years, Lois (FHCHS) and Linda (Yorkton). A Traditional Wake will be held at the Okanese Learning Centre on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the same location on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow.
