Obituary of Florence Gustafson

FLORENCE (nee Fiddler) GUSTAFSON Florence passed away unexpectedly from complications after surgery at the young age of 55. She was predeceased by her father Euclid; sister Verna; and brother Darryl. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Rita; loving husband of 33 years, Randy; sons, Mark (Samantha), Trevor (Natalie) and Randy (Melissa); daughters, Andrea (Lloyd) and Leah (Kim); grandchildren, Ashly, Brett, Brooke, Shelby, Brady and Jack; sisters, Shirley, Denise, Laura, Brenda; and brother, Eldon. Florence also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Florence was born in Maidstone, SK on November 16, 1957 and was raised in the North Battleford area before settling in Regina, SK where she met Randy. Florence and Randy were married on December 20, 1980 and raised their family in Regina, SK. Florence loved cooking for her family and made an exceptional potato salad among other fantastic dishes. She took great joy in spoiling her grandchildren and solving puzzles as well as other pastimes, including playing darts, scratch tickets, camping, music (especially Alan Jackson), and watching her favorite TV shows (Dancing with the Stars and The Food Network). A Celebration of Florence’s Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the nursing staff at the Regina General Hospital Unit 6A and the SICU.
