I am sorry to hear that Earl has died, but I am happy to hear that he is finished with his trials of living, as you said in the obituary. I got to know Earl when Gord Gardiner recruted him to come and sing tenor in the Saint Steven's choir, of which i was also a member. I enjoyed his great sense of humour and was sorry that after a season he had to resign. I kept in touch off and on, mainly with his devoted wife, Heather. Somehow, I missed the announcement that she had died and feel badly that I had not been able to attend her funeral. I just want their children to know that i remember Earl fondly and will do my best to make it to the Memorial Service to meet them all.

Many of our greatest memories involve Earl's kind openness to having us teenagers invading his house. Earl and Heather would prepare food and drinks, share laughs, and ensure all of the girls' friends felt welcome. He is truly one of a kind. Deb, Deanna and Donna - our deepest sympathy for your loss.
