Gladys. I just found this online place to post a condolence and thought I would share a few words. During Ernies time of employment with Hodgins Auctioneers I came to admire him for many things. He was a loyal, dedicated, hardworking, persistent, and great salesperson. In fact there are probably very very few persons in the sales industry today, that had the drive that Ernie did. Ernie was a real man, who never failed to face any customer problem or issue and deal with it in his own way. Our company has many many fond memories and stories of Ernies time with us. We fully understood how important that work was in Ernies life and appreciated him for it. He will be missed by all of us at Hodgins Auctioneers. Our condolences. Dear Gladys,
Lorraine and I will miss Ernie's visits to our dealership. Ernie has been faithfully stopping by for over thirty years. We also had visited with Ernie at most Canada West Equipment Dealers Conventions through the years.
He always represented the companies he worked for in a very professional manner.
The agriculture equipment industry will miss our friend Ernie.

Gladys, Ernie was very, very lucky to have you for his wife and caregiver. Whenever he was here with us in Winnipeg, there would always be a call from you, worrying about his well-being!
