Obituary of Norma Joan Pettit

NORMA JOAN PETTIT Norma passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the age of 72. She was predeceased by her parents; brother Dennis Gable; husband Wilmer (Wimp); son Ray; daughter Deborah; and grandson Ryan Netzel. Norma will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Terri (Jeff Tank) and Tracy (Dominique Sarny); grandchildren, Rachael, Leah and Sarah Tank, Lucas and Amélie-Laure Sarny, Melissa Netzel (Rusty Rushton); and great-grandchildren Rory and Keeva Rushton. She will also be missed by many dear friends, including her oldest friends Betty Klein and Sandra Gable. Norma enjoyed crocheting and writing poetry and created many wonderful masterpieces which will remain family treasures. She remembered and took care of relatives and friends throughout the years, with goodie bags, care packages, funny cards or gifts of Christmas fruit cake. In recent years, crosswords kept her mind sharp and her vocabulary impressive. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. The family would especially like to thank all those on the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Unit and the staff from Grace Hospice who cared for Norma through her final struggle.
