Am sorry to hear about Ivan's passing I did not know him,but I knew his sister Esther she was a friend of my brothers she stayed at our place once. She got married to Cecil Heal who was from Maryfield where I grew up. I did not know that there was more family in Canada and living in Regina. My dearest condolence tyo you and your loved ones. It is so hard to lose someone at Christmas,My brothers name was Clarence.

I was lucky enough to meet Ivan when I started volunteering at North Central Family Center in 2000. He actually introduced me to my husband, Rob and managed to tease him enough into asking me for a date. We always joked that Ivan was our personal cupid, as Rob has always said that without Ivan's encouragement, he never would have found the nerve to ask me out. Because of Ivan's teasing and encouragement we started dating shortly after. We were married in 2008 and have two beautiful boys. He was a remarkable man and he will always hold a special place in our hearts. Deepest sympathies for Willy and Jo-Jo and your families.

I was so sorry to hear of Ivan's sudden passing. Ivan and I had great times together through our high school days at Luther and through our time together at the University of Regina. Ivan was so much fun. He had met my family several times and they all thought he was such a great guy. We hadn't had much contact since the university days, but I did have a really good visit with him at Saskatchewan House at the New Year's day event about 5 years ago. I am very sad to hear about the loss of Ivan. When I volunteered at the NCFC, Ivan was always there...cheerful, willing to talk, and very supportive. I could tell that he really loved the kids and believed in each and every single one of them. He is truly going to be missed by many people. May we all be inspired by his example to give a little more every day!

So sad...
When we first visited the North Central Family Centre many years ago, the first thing that caught our attention was the people... the energy, the welcoming and the obvious caring. Among the most prominent was Ivan. He, along with Sandy, made us feel very welcome. The affection everyone had for Ivan was shown at every opportunity. We had a lot of contact with him after that first visit. Each time was like a new and refreshing experience. He will be missed.

He was a little man with a big heart. Ivan made a tremendous difference to the lives of so many who had so little.
I was always moved by his generosity, kindness and sincere desire to leave this world a better place than when he came into it.
