Obituary of John Moerkens

September 27, 1924 – December 12, 2013 John Moerkens was predeceased by his parents, Cornelius and Catherine Moerkens. He is survived by sons, Anthony Potter (Rhonda), and Dallas Moerkens; daughter Audra Moerkens (James); granddaughter Julia Moerkens; and Betty McFarland, the mother of his children. John emigrated from Holland, and in his early years farmed in the Sintaluta area. He worked at the Wascana Golf and Country Club for over 25 years, retiring in August of this year. His talents in the greenhouse will be missed. John loved being outdoors, working with cattle, and had a love for all animals. A Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John, may be made to the Canadian Red Cross, P.O.
