Obituary of Margaret Babette Brodt

MARGARET BABETTE BRODT (Nee Ruopp) 1923 2012 Margaret, beloved wife of the late Conrad Brodt (1983), of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 18, 2012 at the age of 88 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, four children, Melvin (Marleen) Brodt, Sandra (Ross) Williams, Sherry (Ken) Kraushaar and Kenneth (Michelle) Brodt, all of Regina; seventeen grandchildren, Angela Kampert, Rhonda Machuk, Cheryl Zerr, Ronald Meier, Nancy Brodt-Pavo, Jeffrey Brodt, Jerry Brodt, John Williams, Stephen Williams, Greg Williams, Jason Williams, Karen Williams, Jacqueline Kraushaar, Darren Kraushaar, Allan Kraushaar, Britney Brodt and Conrad Brodt; eighteen great-grandchildren; her brother Hans (Erna) Ruopp; sister Lottie Leibel; as well as many nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Christian and Wilhelmina Ruopp, her husband Conrad of 39 years; daughter Myrna Meier (1978); son Gordon Brodt (1969); and numerous in-laws. Margaret was born in Neu-Ulm, Germany on October 20, 1923 and immigrated to Canada in 1925, where she grew up on the family farm near Zehner, SK. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and will be sorely missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her. A Funeral Service to Celebrate Margarets Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
