Obituary of Lorraine Ann Skrtic

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lorraine (Lora) on Wednesday, January 1, 2014. Lora is survived by her husband Mike; daughters Bonnie (Don) Stout and Theresa (Steven) Caza; grandchildren Angela Measner, Chad (Roberta) Caza, Katrina (Chris) Fahlman, Stevie Marie and Ryan Urszulan; great-grandchildren Zoey, Alisha, Tenai, Talan, Chase and Cash; five sisters, three brothers and many nieces and nephews. Lora was born in Grayson, SK and moved to Regina with her family at a young age. Lora and Mike were wed on April 15, 1963 and recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in April 2013. Lora was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose passion was her family. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and with her grandchildren. She was excited and looking forward to the newest addition to her family, arriving in April 2014 - her great grandson Mirko Caza. Lora worked in the healthcare industry most of her working career. She worked at the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic at the Pasqua Hospital for 23 years, retiring in 2010. Prayers and Viewing will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 100 Argyle Street, Regina on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Lora has touched the hearts of many people and will be greatly missed. We will always have great memories of this wonderful, caring and life-loving friend.
