Obituary of Daniel Diewold

It is with great sadness our family announces the passing of Dan Diewold on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the age of 76 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Rose. Dan is survived by his loving wife Flo; children, Mike (Cheryl) Diewold, Mark Diewold, Michelle (Jerome) Mogentale, his sister Pat (Eric and nephew Aaron) Robb, and his much loved grandchildren. Born on July 28, 1937 near McLean, Saskatchewan, Dan made a career of working for the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool (SWP). Dan and Flo were married on June 18, 1960 and raised their family both in Regina and at the Craven acreage. After retiring from SWP, they lived the good life with summers at the acreage and winters in the city. Dan loved the outdoors, and the acreage allowed him to be free and plan projects. He would often be heard saying “make an improvement everyday”. Winter allowed him to plan his summer activities of fixing this or improving that, whatever it may be. Dan will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to send a special thank you to the numerous doctors, nurses and friends for their special care. A Celebration of Dan’s life will be held at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, Dan would want you to plant a tree in his memory.
