Obituary of Una Verity Westman

It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of Una Verity Westman. Una Verity, born March 7, 1929 to William and Una Gundred Barlow at Zehner, SK, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013, in Regina, SK. Verity, predeceased by her first husband Rudy Miller in 1970, and her second husband Russell Westman in 1988, her nephew Stanley Swalm in 1989, niece Sandra Ford in 2010, and sister Roma Joan Swalm in 2010. She leaves to mourn her passing, great niece and nephew, Sharolyn Capnerhurst (Shawn) and Warren Ford (Jodie), and great great niece and nephew, Peyton and Aldan Capnerhurst, as well as several nieces and nephews through marriage. Verity and Rudy resided and farmed north of Regina. Verity and Russell resided and farmed at the Westman family farm near Midale, SK. Verity had a great love for her flower and vegetable gardens, her fish pond, fabric painting and crafts, and her pets. Many thanks to the staff and caregivers at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre in Regina for the care she received, and to friends and family who visited. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
