Obituary of Leslie Minto

Leslie Minto Leslie passed away peacefully on January 11, 2014. He was predeceased by his wife Doreen in 1985 and sister Wilma. Leslie will be lovingly remembered by his children, Cheryl (Tony) Froh, Garth (Sharlene) Minto, and Cindy (Bill) Wilkinson; grandchildren, Mandi (Jason), Lee (Kristen), Brendan, Kierra (Brian Gottfried), Logan (Amy), Landon and Dustin; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Hannah, and Zane and special friend Marg Cole. Leslie was born on July 12, 1929 and attended school in Pense, SK and Balfour in Regina. He started working at Government Printers in 1947 and in 1951 he married the love of his life, Doreen. Leslie had a passion for farming and could talk about farming for hours. He also was an avid curler and loved to watch curling on television. Like most curlers he never missed a shot on television. He enjoyed many years riding his scooter around town. Public Visitation will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. Interment will be at a later date at Leslie’s request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8 in memory of Leslie.
