Obituary of Herbert Leonard Brandt

On Friday, January 24, 2014, Herb Brandt passed away at the age of 79 years following a brief illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Karl and Regina; and by his brothers, Ernie, Bert and Al. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joanne; daughter Lesley, son Jim (Stacey); grandchildren, Brian, Curtis, Danielle, Evan, Kellen, and Kelsey. Herb was born in Regina and raised on the family farm in Kennell District near Craven. He had a long, rewarding career with SaskPower, and enjoyed a healthy, happy retirement in the company of his family and friends. Herb was a talented musician and a generous man who enjoyed sharing his time with others. He was respected and liked by his peers, deeply loved by his family and friends, adored by his grandchildren. His integrity, friendly demeanor and sense of humour left a lasting impression on all he met. Herb will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Herb’s Life will take place at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 3510 Queen Street, Regina, SK on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. with the Reverend Craig Moeller officiating. Interment at a later date. Flowers most gratefully declined.
