The room was full of people who knew you, admired you, respected you and most of all loved you.
I can only speak for myself...your daughter, your Mothers namesake, Sabina Adelheid Marie Puttkammer...
As I read my letter of memories, I would glance at the people gathered, tears were flowing but too laughter escaped from their lips.
Your son Ruediger and wife Debbie drove from Winnipeg, your grandchildren Jason and Marlena also drove in that late afternoon, I (Sabina) flew from Calgary.
We loved you very much...you did not see us often as you did the grandchildren from Helen, but for us we have a special bond with you.
Your blood flows through us...that in itself is a great gift.
With my heart open, I am ready to receive visions and words from you while I sleep.

Dearest Helen:
I always knew how much you loved my Father....when I saw the two of you together...it was so apparent. When you speak of him...I can hear the love from your sweet gentle voice.
He was very fortunate to have found love with you. I am very grateful that you took such good care of him, and I know he loved you very much.
He will be your protector from the skies above...each twinkle of the stars will be Werner showing his love...

My sympathies and condolences to you Helen and family, I was saddened to read of Werner s passing.
In the many years that I worked with you at the Cancer Society, I so enjoyed Werner's smiling face every time he came into the office! He will be missed greatly.
