Obituary of Merci Ann Noels

MERCI ANN? NOELS 1940 2012 Surrounded by family, Ann passed quietly away on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Regina Wascana Grace Hospice in Regina, SK. Ann is survived by her children, Vivian (Douglas) McKenzie, Norman (Joanna) Noels, Patricia (Fred) Pringle, David (Rachel) Noels; her grandchildren, Kathleen, William, Brandy, Bonnie, Daniel, Michelle, James, Kristen, Kurtis, Regina, Anthony, Tammy; her great-grandchildren, Andrew, Alexandria, Aiden, Lane, Hannah, Marcus, Felix, Carter and Jaycee. Ann is also survived by her sisters, Ellen, Georgina, Linda and Debbie; as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Stewart; sister Beatrice; mother and father Clara and George Constable as well as other nieces and nephews. Ann was born to George and Clara Constable on May 19, 1940. She was raised and spent her life in Wolseley, SK where she and her husband, Robert, raised four children. She had some experience working at the Wolseley Memorial Hospital before she married and was a stay-at-home mother until 1971, when she acquired a position as an aide at the Lakeside Nursing Home. She took an opportunity to do formal training as an aide and worked at the Home for 27 years before retiring. After retirement, Ann enjoyed doing some community volunteerism (especially when it was providing baking!), going for daily coffee with her friends, and was an avid card and Bingo player. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in later years. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Drs and staff at the Wolseley Hospital, Dr. Akot, and the Drs and staff at Regina Wascana Grace Hospice and Pasqua Hospital. The Noels family would like to invite friends and family to a Celebration of Anns Life at the Wolf Creek Friendship Centre, Wolseley, SK from 1:00 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2012. In lieu of flowers, those so wishing may make a donation, in memoriam, to a charity of their choice.
