Obituary of Lynall David Wilson

LYNALL DAVID WILSON December 24, 1937 – February 13, 2014 After a short, but courageous battle with cancer, Lynall passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina. He was predeceased by his parents Davey and Ruby Wilson and two brothers in his early childhood. Lynall is survived by his four children, David, Richard (Shannon), Deborah (Garth) and Gail (Greg); grandchildren, Audrey (Tryan), Alyson (Colin), Kathleen (Tyler), Justin (Avril), Bryce (Marissa), Daric (Hanna) and Megan (Justin); great-grandchildren, Macaira, Emily, Natalie, Ryker, Brigette, Jemma, Rachel and Rebecca; special companion Margaret and good friend Bob. He is also survived by his three brothers Ralph, Murray (Donna) and Gordon (Sandie); one sister Doreen; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lynall was born and raised in Broadview, where he helped out on the family farm and attended both elementary and high school. In 1959, Lynall married Myrna Mills and in 1961, they moved to Regina where they started their family. After many years of marriage, Lynall and Myrna separated in 1994. After the separation, Lynall put his hardworking skills into a few different careers. Lynall was a mail carrier for Canada Post, a franchise owner for Trifon’s Pizza, car salesman for Hauser and Percival, Building Maintenance at Regina Housing, and finally retiring as a caretaker with the Exhibition Board – Evraz Place. Lynall was an active member of the Horizon Social Club since 2005 where he served in many roles and responsibilities. He was always available to lend a helping hand, whether it was at a barbeque, a pancake breakfast, or to brighten your day with a simple hello! A special thank you to the kind, loving nurses of 3A Palliative Care who made Lynall’s last two weeks as comfortable as possible. Lynall will be lovingly missed and remembered by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place in Broadview at a later date.
