Obituary of Gordon Philip Dormuth

GORDON PHILIP DORMUTH Gordon passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Regina General Hospital, at the age of 83. He was predeceased by his mother Katherine in 1942; father Lawrence in 1952; foster brother Tony Hagar in 2005; and step-mom Lena Dormuth in 1990. Gordon is survived by three sisters, Carol Reimer of Saskatoon, Linda (Abe) Schermann of Calgary and Dorothy Dormuth of Saskatoon; nieces, Shalene Schermann of Guelph, Kimberly Schermann of Calgary, Christine (Chad) Lewis of Calgary, Renee (Scott) Reimer Horner of Aberdeen and Stacey (Jason Kerr) Reimer of Saskatoon; nephew Terry Reimer of Pike Lake; as well as several great nieces and nephews. Gordon was a gentle, caring, private individual who loved his family and friends dearly. His friends, especially Lou Nagy, will sadly miss him. Gordon’s friends would gather at his house on Friday afternoons for chin wag. We would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. McLeod, Dr. Williams, Dr. Alport and the nurses on 5E at Regina General Hospital for their care and compassion. Their thoughtfulness and kindness towards Gordon and family was greatly appreciated.
