Obituary of Maureen Evelyn Stankey

Maureen, longtime resident of Balgonie, SK and recently of Pilot Butte, SK passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the age of 81 years. Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Alberta Pockrandt; and brother, Don Pockrandt, Maureen is survived by her husband William (Bill) Stankey; son Gord (Jan) Stankey and grandson Michael; son Doug Stankey; brother Roger (June) Pockrandt, all of Regina, SK; along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Anna, Rey, Corey and all the staff and residents of Country Lane Care Home, Pilot Butte for making Maureen part of their family and caring for her; and special thanks to the nurses and staff of Regina General Hospital Nursing Station 3E for their attention to Maureen during her final days. A celebration of Maureen’s life will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at Regina Memorial Gardens.
