Obituary of Charles Douglas Eamon

CHARLES DOUGLAS “DOUG” EAMON February 22, 1933 – January 25, 2014 Doug passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by his parents, Percy and Janet (Isobel) Eamon; brother Hugh; and sister-in-law Margot Eamon. Doug is survived by his siblings, Ruth (Lawrence) Martin, David, Herb, and Betty (George) Peebles; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Dodsland, Doug grew up and attended school in Leney, finishing high school in Regina. He first worked at a bank, then obtained a position at SGI, where he stayed until his retirement in 1998. Music was Doug’s passion, and he was very musically inclined. He played the accordion and the piano – both talents self-taught. He was a member of a Ukrainian music group, travelling across Canada for shows. Honouring Doug’s request, there will be no funeral service. Interment will take place at a later date in Speers, Saskatchewan.
