Obituary of Stella Francoise Partaik

STELLA FRANCOISE PARTAIK (nee St. Arnaud) Stella Francoise, born May 21, 1930 in Gravelbourg, SK passed away due to a tragic accident. She left us peacefully six days later, surrounded by family and friends, at the Regina General Hospital on February 23, 2014. Stella attended school at Gravelbourg and Prud’homme (SK) convents. In addition to being a full-time mom, she also worked as a dental assistant in Gravelbourg and Regina, switchboard operator at the Plains Hospital and several volunteer positions at the Santa Maria and the Regina General Hospital. Stella’s favourite activities were singing both solo and in choirs in school and church, travelling, camping in rain or shine, hiking, bird watching, church activities and clubs and spent many hours loving and helping her family and friends. All who knew her will miss Stella’s beautiful smile, warm heart, sense of humour and laughter. She was predeceased by her loved parents, Lillian (Lafrenière) and Elphège; her beloved husband of 45 years Edward; radiant daughter Janet and treasured brother Louis. Stella is survived by her loving children; Michaela and grandchildren Kayla and Damara of Regina; Susan and granddaughter Jessica (Ricky) and great-grandchildren Anika and Milo of Regina; Jim (Constanza) and grandson Mateo of Chicoutimi, QC; granddaughter Brittney of Saskatoon; grandson Dylan (Ali) of Regina; siblings Lucile of Ottawa; Gerry (Anita) of Dunham, QC; Denise (Ian) of Gibsons, BC and Lorraine (Omer) of Gatineau, QC and many other relatives. The family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care and attention from the staff of MPICU and 5E and a special thank you to Dr. J McLeod. Celebration of Life Mass will be held at St. Martin de Porres R.C. Church, 4720 Castle Road, Regina, SK on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will served after the mass followed by inurnment in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Regina General Hospital Volunteer Services, 1440 – 14th Avenue, Regina, SK, S4P 0W5 or the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, PO Box 1697 Stn Main, Regina, SK, S4P 3C6.
