Obituary of Rodolphe Rene Toupin

RODOLPHE “RUDY” RENE TOUPIN December 11, 1931 - March 2, 2014 Rudy passed away Sunday afternoon, March 2, 2014 at the age of 82. His life began on December 11, 1931 in Storthoaks, SK. Rudy was predeceased by parents, Willi and Gabrielle (nee Houde) Toupin; brothers, Desiree and Emile Toupin; sister Anita Doyle; brothers-in-law, Eric Berg, Earl Doyle, Rhys Morgan; nephews, David and Paul Toupin. He is survived by his sister Jeanette Morgan; sister-in-law Jeanne Toupin; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends. Rudy was a friend to all from the time he worked at the family store in Storthoaks. Continuing on with his accounting degree, he decided to travel and worked in Montreal, and then later Winnipeg. Rudy’s love for fine food, music, photography and arts became more refined with his time away. Through his love of knowledge and reading, he was a wealth of information “a walking encyclopedia.” The importance of family and friendships brought Rudy back to work closer to home for the Archdiocese of Regina. As he centered his life around family and friends Rudy spend a lot of his time organizing social events, playing bridge, scrabble, entertaining, and visiting. He was kind, gentle, generous to a fault, and loved to spend his time with people. In his later years, Rudy mostly enjoyed his life by travelling, visiting and relaxing at the lake at Kenosee. His family and friends brought him happiness. Thank you to his close friends and family who helped with his care. Rudy was always very grateful for the time you spent together, and the assistance through difficult times. If you knew Rudy, he taught you compassion. Church, 3239 Garnet Street, Regina, SK on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.
