Obituary of Helen Isabelle Gulyas

HELEN ISABELLE GULYAS (nee Hamilton) 1944 - 2014 It is with deep sadness that the family announced that Helen Gulyas, age 69 of Regina, SK lost her battle with cancer and passed away on February 26, 2014 at Pasqua Hospital in Regina. Prayers will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, Regina, SK on Friday March 7, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St Cecilia’s R.C. Church, 5020 - 7th Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday March 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Helen was born in Fort Qu’Appelle to Mary and Alexander Hamilton on November 30, 1944, and grew up at Regina Beach. Louis and Helen started the lumber yard at Regina Beach where Helen worked for many years. They had four children. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Helen was a kind hearted woman that loved to laugh and enjoyed reading and art. Helen is survived by her children, son Louie and children, Jessica, Louie and Amanda; son Michael (Laurie) and children, Alexandra (Mike) and family, Anthony, Becky, Chase and Samantha; daughter April (Virgil) and children, Anthony and Kaitlyn and baby Alayah, Chandra and John, Chantell’s son Nathaniel, Shea and Desirea; friend Mitch, who was just like a grandson; she will be sadly missed by her aunties and their families, Ida (Jim), Edna and Linda; her brothers and their families, Bud (Helen), Ray (Madeline), Dusty (Gail), Glenn, Junior, Alex and Frankie (Maggie); her sisters and their families, June and Anna. She will be sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen was predeceased by her daughter Sandy; granddaughter Chantell; special friend Ernie; her parents, grandparents; brothers, Clayton and Frank; and sisters-in-law, Gay, Diane and Sylvia. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to everyone that was with Helen, helping her through her battle with cancer, including the doctors and nurses at palliative care at Pasqua Hospital in Regina.
