Obituary of Eleanor Mary Melnyk

ELEANOR MARY MELNYK Eleanor, late of Regina, SK, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 at the age of 71 years after a brief battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Josephine (Matcyk) Barabash of Wroxton, SK. Eleanor is survived by her husband of fifty years, Jim; son Richard (Ingrid) Melnyk of Invermere, BC; daughter Tracey (Jeff) Pearson of Stafford, VA; son Robert (Heather) Melnyk of Regina, SK; seven adoring grandchildren, Nicholas, Emily, Jenna, Myah, Avery, Jack and Gracelyn; sisters, Pauline (Herb) Freeborn of Penticton, BC and Darlene (Roland) Gerard of Sherwood Park, AB; brother Allen (Linda) Barabash of Regina, SK; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will take place at Avonhurst Pentecostal Assembly, 3200 Avonhurst Drive, Regina, SK on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Eleanor’s memory be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK, S4P 2R3.
