Obituary of Herbert Glenn Greenman

HERBERT GLENN GREENMAN February 16, 1925 – March 6, 2014 Herb passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2014 with family by his side. He was predeceased by his parents, Glenn and Eva, sister Lila, brother-in-law Laurie, brothers John (infancy), George, Dean and Laverne, and sisters-in-law Inga, Margaret and Dorothy. Herb is survived by his wife of 69 years, Agnes, his children: Glenys (Jack) Fox and their children Scott (Tanya) Fox and children Shelby and Colton, Kevin (Phyllis) Fox and children Kristen and Vanessa; Roger (Wanda) Greenman and their children Brad (Pam) Greenman, Darrell (Janna) Greenman and children Kyle, Chelsea, Kolten and Olivia; Lana (Stan) Thorp and their children Nicole (Nick) Bear, Brian (Jenny) Thorp and children Taylor and Aiden, Brent (Leah) Thorp and children Whitney and Karson; Randy (Pat) Greenman and their children Kim (Stephen Mills) Greenman and children Stephen Jr. and Lucia, Kurt (Heather) Greenman and children Jack and Decklyn, Kris (Jolene) Greenman and children Erik and Alia; Debbie (Alfred) Artman and their children, Shaun Artman and son Tyler, Kelly (Lorraine) Artman and Troy Artman and daughter Sierra, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was a grain buyer but his most important job was raising his children. Herb was involved in the community and was the mayor of Avonlea. He loved sports, especially curling with his three brothers and coaching baseball. Herb enjoyed hunting, fishing with his grandkids, travelling to visit family, playing snooker with his friends and loved new cars. The Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, March 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Herb’s memory, may be made to the Parkinson’s Society of Saskatchewan, 610 Duchess Street, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 0R1, Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, 2180 – 23rd Avenue, Regina, SK, S4S 0A5 or the Spina Bifida Association of Saskatchewan, Box 6669, Regina, SK, S4S 7E6.
