Obituary of Larry Walter Gnius

LARRY WALTER GNIUS With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Larry on Sunday, March 2, 2014. Born in 1941 in Regina, Larry is survived by his loving family, wife of 51 years Jeanette; daughters, Teresa (Jack) Kindrachuk and Patti (Tom) Kindred; grandchildren, Jennifer, Matthew, Connor, and Daniel. He is also survived by sisters, Micheale Kennedy, Catherine Gnius and Susan (David) Pidlisny; many nieces and nephews; his brother-in-law Michael Peter (Rosemarie Barilla); and close friend Peter Bachinsky. Larry was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Eileen; and brother-in-law Terry Kennedy. He dedicated his working life as a police officer with the City of Regina - a career he was very proud of. Throughout his life, Larry was an avid outdoorsman, sharing many adventures and memories with family and friends as hunting, fishing, and camping expeditions unfolded. He was happiest when outdoors and he passed a love and respect for all living things to his daughters, family, and friends. At Larry’s request, a private memorial for family and friends will be held in the future. Larry is loved and deeply missed.
