I always said that Aunt Eileen was my favourite aunt! And that was saying something, 'cause... well... there are lots of awesome aunts for me to choose from. :)
I thought about trying to get to see her when we were in Regina in November. I can't help but remember Eileen laughing her special laugh. I have very fond memories of her with Dad and us. The Gishes all made a huge impact on me as a child and I recall those memories often.
I did love that house at Yellowgrass, spent a lot of time there. That scary basement tho! And then there was the cottage and beach time. The time we visited Regina in the 80's and Eileen came downtown with us. At a cafeteria she had rolled a cigarette by hand. Lord knows I cannot remember why, but we laughed so hard. I have pics of that day, I'll dig them out.
I love you all and hope that you are also comforted by your special memories of Eileen. I wish you Peace and Grace.
