Obituary of Rose Heil

ROSE HEIL November 13, 1924 - March 6, 2014 It was with great sadness that we said goodbye to our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Rose Heil (nee Rilling) on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at the age of 89. Rose was predeceased by her loving husband Herb; her parents, Jacob and Philipina; her in-laws, Jacob and Elizabeth; and all of her nine siblings. Left to cherish her memory are her four daughters: Sharlene Campbell (Rockglen), and sons, Corey (Kristi) and Kurtis (Christi): Lorraine (Neil) Lewis (Rockglen), and children, Brandi (Jim) Dayman, Travis (Katrina), and Tyler: Brenda (Louis) Schneider (Regina), and children, Amanda and Dustin: Crystal (Brad) Burgart (Saskatoon), and children Cassidy and Dakota; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose and Herb were married for 45 years and farmed in Lemberg. After Herb died in 1994, Rose moved into town and then to Regina in 1998. She resided at Lakewood Manor until 2011, then moved to Campbell Care Home. Mom's family was very important to her and she loved to spend time with them. She also loved throwing the flour around in her kitchen, where her family happily reaped the benefits. Her cabbage rolls, perogies, and baking were second to none. She enjoyed dancing polkas with Herb, playing cards, and watching sports on TV. Public Visitation will be at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lemberg, SK on Friday, March 14 at 2:00 p.m. To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.speersfuneralchapel.com
