Obituary of Helen Katherine Fuchs

HELEN KATHERINE FUCHS Helen, late of Regina, passed away at the age of 90 on Friday, March 7, 2014. She was born in the Kendal, SK area on March 30, 1923. Helen was predeceased by her husband Alphonse Fuchs in 2003; parents, Jacob and Katherine Knoll; brothers, Martin (Florence) and John (Dorothy); sisters, Margaret, Rose (Joe) and Cecilia (Ken); and brother-in-law John. She is survived by her children, Loretta (Don), Alice, Jeanette (Gerry), Louise (Al) and Donna (Raymond); 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her sister Marcella and brother-in-law John; as well as nieces and nephews. Helen and Alphonse married in April of 1947 and settled in the Sedley area to raise their family. In retirement they relocated to Regina. Special thanks goes to the care and comfort provided to Helen in her last years at Elmview Extendicare. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Helen, may be made to Elmview Extendicare, 4125 Rae Street, Regina, SK, S4S 3A5. Celebration of Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Ron Andree. Interment will be attended by immediate family only at Sedley, SK following the service.
