Obituary of Elizabeth Petruic

ELIZABETH PETRUIC (nee Avram) Elizabeth passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Coteau Range Manor in Avonlea at the age of 91. She was born on March 8, 1923 to Rev. Peter and Eugenia Avram. Elizabeth married Anton Petruic on November 15, 1943. In 1949 they purchased their farm at Avonlea where they spent the next 65 years raising their family and building a home. Elizabeth had a gift for gardening, baking and making people feel welcomed and loved. She was predeceased by her husband Anton; sister Eleana, brothers, Percy, Paul, Connie and Lloyd; great-granddaughter Hannah; and sister-in-law Emma. Elizabeth is survived by her sons, James (Barb), Brian and Cameron (Judy); her grandchildren, Brad, Lisa, Evie (Peter), Michelle and their mother Ingrid, Joseph (Lindy), Amy (Matthew), Nicholas (Karlee), Sarah (Tyler), Matthew and Moria; great-grandchildren, Issac, Aleah, Ian, Ranen, Micah, Emily, Thomas, Sadie, Jay, Vance and Jace; brother Andy (Vicky); sisters-in-law, Kaye, Dora and Helen. Prayer Service will be held at St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 2005 Edgar Street, Regina, SK on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. George Orthodox Cathedral on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery at Avonlea.
