Obituary of Lila Marie Larson

Lila Marie Larson was born July 31, 1937 at Yorkton, SK. She was the youngest child of Oscar and Mary Larson. Lila was raised in Yorkton and at the young age of 14 she made her choice to return her life to God, a choice that guided her through her entire life. At the age of 17 Lila came to Regina and began working for the Government of Saskatchewan, a career which lasted five years. In the fall of 1959 she began in the Ministry. In 1968 she went to Sweden where she spent 18 years, returning to finish her years of labour in BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. Lila was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, George, Bennett, Elmer, Philip, Allan, Ralph and Norman; and sisters, Jennie Wright and Sevy Jobin. She will be dearly missed by her brother Everett and his wife Marie of Yorkton; sisters-in-law, Lily Larson Saskatoon, and Rose Marie Larson of Regina; several cousins; many nieces and nephews, cherished friends; and fellow labourers in the ministry. In spite of dealing valiantly with poor health in her last years, Lila always had a listening ear, a tender heart and encouragement to help others along life’s journey. She cherished every opportunity to share the precious Gospel story, and she gave her very best to the end. Her life is an inspiration to all of us to do the same.
