Obituary of Edward Zinger

EDWARD ZINGER Edward passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the age of 90 years. He is survived by and will be dearly missed by his wife of 60 years, Olga; brother Josef (Anna), his son Erwin (Monica), daughter Rosemarie (Robert) and grandchildren, Calder, Mason (Regina), Erin, Arden, Brendan and great-granddaughter Peyton. Edward was predeceased by parents, Vinsenz and Magdalena; sister Leontine Schumacher and brother Eugen (in infancy). He was born July 29, 1923 in Selz, Ukraine. Edward met and married Olga Pelzer in Regina. He immigrated to Canada in 1951 and Olga immigrated in 1949. Edward worked at Burns Foods as a meat cutter for 23 years and then the Regina General Hospital custodial department for 15 years. Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1909 Ottawa Street, Regina, SK on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edward’s memory would be gratefully appreciated, to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1909 Ottawa Street, Regina, SK, S4P 1P7 or charity of choice.
