I send my condolences to the Hornsberger family. Hearing about Johns passing broke my heart. john always took the time to say hello to me when calling my Grandfather Nickolas "Gib" Sakires. John was a great person and will be missed. The three years I knew Mr. Hornsberger he was a soft spoken kind Gentleman. Gonna miss our talks on the Phone but know God has a special place for him along side my Grandfather Nicholas.John will be missed. From myself and the Sakires family our deepest sympathies.

Elsie--I was so sorry to hear of your loss---You and Johnny were such great friends to my Mom, Amy Forseth--I always heard about all of your kindnesses to her.
To have had 76 years together was a wonderful gift-Mel and I had almost reached 60 years when he passed away 3 years ago.
Mom would have wanted me to send condolences and love to you and your family on her behalf.

It is with saddness that I extend our sincere sympathy to all of you.

Elsie, Bob, Barry & Family.
Pat and I were sorry to learn of John's death. I have fond memories of how he graciously helped me with many Luther College printing projects, for which I was always very thankful. We had good conversations, too. Over the years our families have connected in various ways, including our living next door to a great neighbour, his sister Madge.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Dear Auntie Elsie, Barry, Robert and families,
What a wonderful tribute you have written for Uncle Johnny. Your family has been part of our family for my entire life! I treasure all the great memories we have and always admired Uncle Johnny as a man, a dad and husband, as part of our family and just as a wonderful human being. My kids refer to him fondly as the man who always liked to "give them a squeeze". Thinking of you all today. Wish we could be there but Mom will represent us well.
Love to you all,Donna

Dear Bob,
Presumably, your dad's obituary was penned by your hand as the sign-off is a familiar one I have heard in the courses I've taken from you. His personality was illuminated through your words. The life lessons he instilled in his boys made me smile. What a great man!
My wish for you is to keenly recall memories of your dad you thought long forgotten, to gain strength from the support of those around you, and to embrace the emotional growth of grief.
Heartfelt condolences,
Shannon H.

I want to send Elsie, Bob, and Barry my warmest regards on the passing of your lovely Dad and my good friend, Johnny. He was a very special Gentleman and I will always remember him as being very kind and loving to Elsie -- when I went to visit, or they came to my office in The GoldenMile Mall, I would just admire their love for each other, it glowed!
Johnny was very proud of his Boys; in our business conversations he frequently spoke about them, and it was evident, they were the most treasured possession and strong pillars that he could call upon. When Johnny said, "My son/s.....", it was emphatic and he was indomnitable. What an empowered and strong ethical man he was, yet the love of God truely shone from within him and he sure did "Love thy neighbour". I am proud to have been in his circle and know my words will be shared by those that know him. Sincere regards to you, Johnny -- and your family -- I will remain a loyal friend and advocate. God Bless, Keith
