Obituary of Leslie Alison Roney

LESLIE ALISON RONEY Leslie Alison (Francis) Roney, late of Regina, SK. With great sadness, we the family announce the sudden but peaceful passing of our wonderful Wife, Mom and Grandma on April 9th, 2014 at the young age of 60 years. Mom was born on February 13th, 1954 in Regina, SK. She was predeceased by her parents James and Alma Francis. Leslie is survived by her husband of 41 years; Ellis, her children; Tera (Gwynn) Howitt, Krissy (Shaun) Roney, and Eric (Kailey) Roney; and mother-in-law, Betty Roney; all of Regina, SK. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, the apples of her eye, and pride and joy, Payton, Ethan, Hannah, Wyatt and Gage. Also left to cherish her memory are her 6 sisters; Pat Francis, Buena Vista, SK; Sharon (Ron) Brucker, Edenwold, SK; Janet Brown, Regina, SK; Susan (Tom) Lane, Regina, SK; Ginny Phillip, Calgary, AB; her twin, Laurel (Tom) Kopeck, Regina, SK as well as numerous nieces and nephews, friends and coworkers. Leslie loved her family with all of her heart and cherished her friends. All who knew her will remember the amazing twinkle in her beautiful blue eyes and her vibrant smile that would light up a room. A Celebration of Life service for Leslie will be held on Tuesday, April 15th, 2014 at Westhill Park Baptist Church, 8025 Sherwood Drive, at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. David Simpson Officiating. A private interment will be held at Riverside Memorial Park at a later time.
