Obituary of Joe Knaus

JOHN JOSEPH “JOE” KNAUS November 1930 – May 2014 Joe, late of Regina, passed away peacefully and without pain at the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit on Monday, May 5, 2014 with family members by his side. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary; and siblings, Lois, Ardell, Isobel and Edward. Joe is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rose; daughter Donna (Randy) Malach; son David (Carmen); son Jim; daughter Karen (John) Charanduk; daughter Rosanne (Merv) Dareichuk; fifteen grandchildren, Kirk, Jenna and Kyle Malach, Caitlin, Railin, Ryan and Samantha Knaus, Kristan, Carla and Jessica Knaus, Meagan and Austin Charanduk, Tim Knaus and Kodie and Josie Dareichuk; four great-grandchildren, Luca, Scott, Tori and Jayden; siblings, William, Ione, Vincent, Glen, Peter, Geraldine and Dennis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was happy to be able to stay in his own home until the very end, being cared for by his wife Rose. A Prayer Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will take place at Little Flower Roman Catholic Church, 420 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe’s memory, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 – 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2H8.
