Obituary of Matilda Turgeon

MATILDA TURGEON Tilda passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. She was born February 16, 1921 to Jacob and Josephine (Renner) Hubick. Tilda was predeceased by her husband Arthur in 1987. She is survived by her sons, Frank of Regina and Larry of California; two granddaughters, Janice (Carl) and Karen; great-granddaughter Heather; brother Harold; sisters, Erma Revill and Helen (Ernie) Brandt; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Tilda was born in the Serath district and moved to the Zehner district at a young age and attended Sterling school. In 1943 she married Arthur Turgeon and they farmed in the Foxleigh district until they moved to Regina in 1980. Tilda loved gardening, sewing and travelling. She spent many days quilting with her church friends. Tilda had been in poor health the last few years so moved to a private care home and then Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home, where she passed away. A Funeral Service will be held at Zion United Church, 120 Broad Street, Regina, SK on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Regina Memorial Gardens.
