I am very sorry to hear of Crystal having an illness and passing. I knew here as a child, we went to elementary school together and played on a soccer team together. I didn’t know until this week. She was always very kind and always had a smile. She was a grade ahead of me so we didn’t know each other that well but we played at recess sometimes and she was always very nice to me. I always told people that I used to know her when I saw her on the news for her basketball. My condolences to the family.

Our heartfelt condolences to your entire family from the Vann family. Crystal has left loving memories for us all to hold in our hearts, her smile, her head of dark curls her warm and loving nature and her gentle spirit. We can never know the "why", it is beyond our understanding that God would take her now at this young age when her family needed her so. I hope that one day the "why" is revealed to us. May you be comforted by the outpouring of love from all of us who knew and loved Crystal until then.

Paul, kids and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I had known Crystal years ago playing basketball in school, she was a tough, brave and wonderful woman during her difficult battle. She will always be with you during everything you and the kids do.....always remember and trust in that.

Crystal was my son William's grade 4 teacher. The first time I met her, I went to the class to talk about Will's difficulties in math. After introducing myself, she said "You must be so proud to have a boy like Will!"
Crystal made every child feel special. She was a teacher that made a difference. We are so sad about her passing. The world lost an amazing woman.
