We only met Cydney once at the graduation from high school as she rushed over to meet our granddaughter Katy Franks and were won over by her smile and genuine welcome. We treasure the photograph we have of them. Our hearts go out to all your family and she will be in our prayers as if she was one of our own. Her life of service to family and community might have been short but has been of real significance. We hope the memory of the good she has done will give you some comfort in the times to follow.

For centuries, the butterfly has symbolized the resurrection and life after death. The caterpillar signifies life here on earth; the cocoon, death; and the butterfly, the emergence of the dead into a new, beautiful and freer existence. The Compassionate Friends has adopted the butterfly as one of its symbols, a sign of hope to us bereaved parents and siblings that our children are now living in another dimension with greater beauty and freedom, a comforting thought to many.
I am a member of the Regina Chapter of Compassionate Friends, a non-profit organization made up of other parents whose children have died. The causes and ages vary significantly but the pain and loss is the same. TCF is a non-denominational group with no religious or spiritual affiliations. All belief systems are honored and welcomed.
I share your intense sorrow and pain as your child has died. Please feel free to contact me and just share.

I am honored to have known Cydney. She was truly an extension of our family. She treated all of us better than we sometimes treat eachother, even Luke. Most importantly she was like an older sister to my daughter. Thanks Cyd. We offer our deepest condolences to the Weir family.

I'm not sure if you remember me, but I was honoured to be your stylist for a couple years at Lakeview & Afterglow. I'm so sorry to hear about Cyd, what a bright light she was and so young.
My thoughts are with your family at this tragic time. I know there are no words I can say to make any of the pain go away but know that I am thinking about you and Cyd.
Stay strong.
Megan

There are no words to express this sadness and loss of such a lovely young person. Cydney was always a bright and funny girl. We enjoyed many guiding events with her, most recently winter camp and dallas valley. She will be remembered and missed always by her guiding family. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

No words will suffice. Don and Susan I am so very sorry for your loss. Cydney was such a beautiful young woman who always greeted me with a smile and often a warm hug. You created a lovely, witty, and obviously cherished young lady who was lost far too soon.
