We were saddened to hear of Herb's passing and are sorry for your loss. Herb was a kind man who always made us feel at ease at family gatherings and reunions. We sometimes ran into him when we were out for walks around our old neighbourhood and enjoyed having the opportunity to catch up.
Our thoughts and hearts are with you during this difficult time.

I was saddened to see the notification of Herb's passing. My sincere condolences to you on his passing. I had a number of opportunities to work with Herb and see him professionally yet personably handle delicate safety/labour related situations. His approach solicited trust. May the Lord comfort you as you grieve.

Ahh Herb my friend.... you were not supposed to beat me to the Pearly Gates! Over the years you were always my "go to guy", a wealth of information and a good friend. True Peace is always a long time coming and I expect to see you again in the future so we will talk more then. Rest now. You have left a true legacy. Your name and expertise were known throughout Saskatchewan and beyond. A feat not many can match. I wish for all the best for your family during this time.

We first met Herb back in the mid-1970s at the U of R, where he studied both chemistry and sociology. Herb's sense of social justice and fairness never wavered over the years. We were glad to call him a friend. We were fortunate to run into Herb quite often even after we left Regina. His dedication to his work and doing the right thing in his field of expertise were important, but not nearly as important as his family. His love and pride in his family were always apparent and top of mind. The world is less for his passing, but better for his having passed through it.

I'm very saddened to hear of my chum's passing. We were high school and university friends and of course socialized and commiserated about all things relevant in those days. I remember calculus monopolizing our time. As Dave Ogram said it's a regrettable lament to not have stayed in touch. A lesson to be considered. Herb and his entire family were the most wholesome of people. I'm proud to have been in their life and to call him a friend. I interacted with the Wooleys' on a professional level for many years taking care of dear old "Shep" and later Herb was invaluable to me and my practise as was Dave Ogram. My sincere condolences to Herb's children and grandchildren and to brother Greg and his wife. Farewell old chum. You will be sorrowfully missed. Jim Randall.

My wife, Linda and I were greatly saddened (in fact it felt like a part of my heart was lost) when I heard about the passing of Herb. He and I worked together for over 30 years. Herb was always a very good and dependable friend. He was always a very good supervisor to me and a very honest and sincere person.
My only regret is that I did not keep in touch with Herb more often on a regular basis. I will miss Herb very much, and I know all of his family and friends will too.
Sincerely,
Dave Ogram
