Obituary of Orest Evan Holowatiuk

OREST EVAN HOLOWATIUK Orest Evan Holowatiuk passed away peacefully on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Parkside Extendicare, Regina, SK at the age of 77 years. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Dora; in-laws, John and Emma Hubick; sister Hannah; brother Billy; brothers-in-law, Mike Yacusiw and Ewald Hubick. Orest is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Ann; sisters, Mary Yacusiw of Hamilton, ON and Violet (Jack) Hoffman of Regina, SK; brothers, Bill (Patricia) and Nestor (Cathy) Holowatiuk of Edmonton, AB; brothers-in-law, Wilfred (Florence), Allan (Rose) and Walter Hubick, and sister-in-law Ida Hubick all of Regina, SK; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. A very special thank you to all at Parkside Extendicare for Orest’s care. Divine Liturgy will be held at St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1757 Toronto Street, Regina, SK on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Rt. Rev. Vladimir Mudri presiding. Interment to follow in Regina Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Orest, may be made to a charity of choice.
